Oktana is a custom software development company specializing in Salesforce technologies. With a current team of 200+ technologists located across Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and the United States, we will continue to grow.
As Head of Information Technology (IT), you will oversee all IT operations, internal tool development and security and compliance. You will manage a small team of managers with expertise in each of these areas and drive the implementation and improvement of related systems, tools and policies.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical project management skills and a high-level of comfort with IT systems, software development process and general security and compliance best practices.
Your customers are your teammates across the company. Your goal is to ensure they are able to work efficiently and securely, from hardware to software, whether that is closing a deal or delivering code to external customers.
You will:
- Provide leadership to IT, Internal Development and Compliance teams
- Create structure and consistency across efforts to increase efficiency, security and security awareness
- Partner with administrative and operational teams across the company
- Manage regular updates to executive leadership

Other Responsibilities
- Work with leadership to establish and implement data-driven changes that will improve how Oktana operates
- Evaluate IT operations, including drive internal audits, and manage improvements according to company goals
- Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs
- Act as product owner of business tools built and managed internally
- Oversee the inspection and maintenance of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency
- Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to leadership
- Purchase efficient and cost effective technological equipment and software
- Control IT budget and report on expenditure
Requirements
- 2-4 years experience in an IT Director, Engineering Management or similar role, managing technical teams
- Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
- Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc.
- Strong technical project management and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to inspire passionate teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT Management or relevant field
- Verbal and written English fluency
We are a hybrid workplace. This role requires a daily presence in your local office to strengthen the in-office leadership provided to your local teammates.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with SOC 2 or ISO 27001 controls
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM tools
